Photographing a maternity session in a tulip field was a brand new experience for me and I have to say – I loved it! It stretched my creativity and resulted in some brand new and exciting images I’ve never created the likes of before!

I’m so thankful to my client Audrey, who trusted the vision and the process. On our initial phone consult we spoke about our mutual love of art and art history, all things European, dreamy and romantic. We also agreed – life is art and so we set out with the intention to create beautiful images for their family to remember this milestone by. It was her idea to come down from Toronto to visit the TASC Tulip Pick Farm and we visited on one of the very first open evenings. The tulips weren’t as lush as we’d hoped since it was early yet but we worked with the light and the available tulips to create artistic pieces she’d love. Audrey decided to create an album of these images so that she can one day share the images with her daughter Nora, now 9 weeks old. Just today as we were emailing back and forth she wrote ‘I just looked at the album proof and it’s gorgeous. I approved it and can’t wait to see it.  We showed the pictures to a friend of ours last week and she was blown away by your talent.  She just kept saying “WOW!” Thank you again for helping us capture that moment in our lives.  It feels like a million years ago already.’
