It’s hard for me to accept that this sweet child is growing up and growing away from me. Because now he is six. He goes to school every day. He has new friends and a life that doesn’t involve me 24 hours of the day. I’m a huge suck and don’t love that idea. I have always loved having him home, chattering my ear off, playing Lego at my feet, napping together. But I do love that our relationship has stayed the same- this boy will still snuggle me any day of the week. He still naps on the weekends- which I LOVE. He sleeps with his head on my tummy, which he started doing when I was pregnant with Zion and still loves to do to this day. He is listening to my heart he says. He is sweet and funny and flashes the best smiles of all time. I still remember being afraid of how I would connect with a boy… but being mumma to this boy has been such a gift. Thank you Lord, for every day we have together! Happy birthday little man. Love you forever.
