There is something so amazing about meeting your baby at long last. For 9 months this little being grows within you, dancing to their own rhythm as you lie in bed at night, listening to your voice as you sing along in the car, loving you with every fiber of their being. Finally they arrive and there is a face to put with this image in your mind, with this love in your heart, and you can’t imagine that face looking any different. You never knew what that face would look like, you could never imagine the beauty carved into those soft and delicate features, and yet after that first tear filled moment when your eyes meet theirs, that perfect image is forever stamped into your memory.
