I celebrated my birthday on the weekend and it was such a beautiful day! The weather was amazing, and I took the whole weekend off to just chill with my family and friends. It was perfect. I felt so incredibly blessed by all those around me who called, visited, sent me well wishes, etc. One thing that really amazes me is the whole new community of people that I have met through photography as well- whether I have met them in person, as clients, online, through forums or Facebook. It was so cool that they were all wishing me a Happy Birthday too! I have to confess, I LOVE being a part of this digital age, where we are able to connect with people around the world on a daily basis!

One of the people I have connected with professionally is the amazing Yazbeth Acosta. She is an extremely talented woman who creates items such as these adorable felt headbands pictured below. Read to the end to find out how to win two of her beautiful creations!

      Business: Bloom by Arissia

Tell us one sentence describing your work: I’m a crafty mommy who enjoys creating and designing chic accessories for girls of all ages.

How long have you been doing this and how did you start?: Started doing this a couple years ago after the birth of my seccond girl when I couldn’t find a nice and original hair piece for her head full of hair. Most of my designs are inspired by my two girls Arianna & Alessia.

What’s the best thing about doing what you do?: The best thing about doing this is I get to create my designs at my own pace, and still be the stay at home mommy spending time with my girls.

Soooooo, who would like to win two of her beautiful headbands???!!!

The headbands are gorgeous, as are your photographs of the children modeling them. Love the rich depth of colors you achieved. No need to enter me in the contest, though, as I don’t photograph children anymore. Good luck to those entering, though. 🙂

I love the simplicity of the single rosettes – so pretty!

I love them all but the ones withfeathers are my fav!

Oh man this is too hard. I love SO many of them but I’ll narrow it down to
the pink double felt rosette headband and the purple rosette with white feathers from the Allure Collection.

This is a great idea Tamsen! 🙂
